Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at Age 60.
Stateside performer Finn, who featured in popular television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.
The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in LA on Monday following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his relatives shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive TV Career
Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the titular character's brother.
He also had a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a party host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on several well-known programs, including:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
A Life in Improv
Beyond his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find a person anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared publicly.
Pat Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, three children, and his family.
