Development Team and Studio Cooperation

Four studios are creating the game under the unified development banner.

They include long-time creator the Swedish studio, located in Sweden, Los Angeles-based Motive Studios and Ripple Effect Studios in North America.

Another, the Guildford team, is based in England.

Rebecka Coutaz is the studio head of the two continental developers, and explains to reporters that, in regards of what it's delivering gamers, "Battlefield 6 is probably unsurpassed."

Building On Previous Shortcomings

This title comes off the release of the advanced the last installment, released four years ago to a unfavorable feedback it struggled to bounce back from.

"We most likely would find it impossible to create and produce this new game absent the insights we acquired in the last release," she explains to the press.

One of those insights was to get players involved soon, and the developers initiated invite-only community testing sessions earlier this year.

The "reaction was extremely encouraging," comments Rebecka.

Another omitted ingredient from the last game was a story mode, which has been restored for this release.

The Guildford team creative lead Fas Salim is the one tasked with "guaranteeing those stages are as entertaining and engaging as can be for the players."

Regardless of reports that the scope of the game had put a strain on the various developers working together across continents to create the game, he is upbeat about the process.

"Partnering with diverse backgrounds, different backgrounds, it's a very fascinating environment to be part of on a regular basis," he shares.

"This whole approach has been a fresh take but also very exciting because we are working with individuals from around the globe."

Regarding the expectation on the developers, Fas says: "There is pressure but at the same time it's thrilling.

"This is a large venture. It's arguably the largest that many of us have previously been involved in."

New Artist Brings New Perspective

This is certainly correct of at least a single team member, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.

The 21-year-old creates the atmospheric effects that influence the atmosphere, feel, and direction of the solo experience.

Vlad undertook an training period at the developer prior to securing a role there, and currently operates on a part-time basis while finishing his VFX qualification at Bournemouth University.

Vlad says he's a long-time fan of the games, and recollects experiencing the previous game of the franchise at a friend's house when he was younger.

"To know that I've put my own thing into the game is truly unbelievable."
