The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with employing the full worth of seized Russian holdings to aid Ukraine's war effort, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany emphasized that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to come to the table.

They added that the move would be executed in strong partnership with the US.

United Kingdom penalties have immobilized over £25bn of Russian funds since the Russian government initiated its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, up to this point, funds allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russia's funds had only been taken from gains and dividends generated on them.

Sir Keir informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and Germany were aligned in their goal to push forward toward using the full value of the frozen Moscow's national assets to halt hostilities.

He stated that further restrictions soon would increase the strain on the Russian government.

This announcement comes after EU leaders gathered in the Danish capital last week to consider utilizing frozen Russian funds for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, American leader Donald Trump called on G7 allies to confiscate or otherwise use seized Russian funds, according to news outlets.

The total of seized Russia's holdings in the Europe is calculated to be nearly €211bn.

Russia launched extensive aerial attacks throughout the Ukrainian territory on Friday, leading to blackouts in large parts of Kyiv, the city, and multiple additional areas.
